Our Women's Ministry
It is the purpose of the Women of the ELCA here at Peace Lutheran Church to know and to do the will of our Lord Jesus Christ in and through the Word of God as full participants in the life and mission of the church. Toward that end, the Women of the ELCA here at Peace Lutheran Church provide opportunities for spiritual growth, service and participation in the total program and concern of the church, promoting the spread of the Gospel of Christ, and being avenues of Christian growth, service and fellowship. The women of Peace Lutheran Church fulfill their purpose by: - meeting monthly for Bible study during Circle meetings - conducting fund raising projects to raise money for missions - making quilts and collecting clothes that are distributed through Lutheran World Relief - serving the congregation through the Altar Guild - meeting the needs of people by serving dinners after funerals - providing a church library for members and friends of the congregation - providing fellowship opportunities in our area's nursing homes - providing "Nurturing God's Child" for new infants and parents - providing "Christ in Our Home" devotional booklets for the congregation - providing gift Bibles that are presented to 3rd grade students annually - hosting a mid-summer banquet for women and girls - supporting financially the work of the national women's organization of the ELCA - participating in the work and ministry of the Women of the ELCA on a local, national and international level
While all the adult women of Peace Lutheran Church are involved in one or another of these activities, more involvement and further participation is always welcomed!
